Text Editor and Automated Messages

The text editor in the Chat24Plus admin area, as well as automated messages (such as welcome and subscription messages), can be used to create stylized and formatted messages.
Below are all supported formatting features.

Text Formatting Features​

  • Links formatting
    All plain text links are automatically converted to clickable hyperlinks.

  • Text formatting syntax

    • Bold text
      Surround text with *

      *your text*

    • Italic text
      Surround text with __

      __your text__

    • Strikethrough
      Surround text with ~

      ~your text~

    • Inline code
      Surround text with backticks

      `your text`

    • Code block
      Surround your block with triple backticks

      your text

  • HTML & scripting languages
    For security reasons, HTML, JavaScript, and other scripting languages are not allowed directly inside messages.
    However, you can use HTML inside custom rich messages, which are covered separately.

  • Line breaks
    To add a manual line break, press:

    • SHIFT + ENTER
    • CTRL + ENTER

Merge Fields​

Merge fields are placeholders that automatically get replaced with user or agent data.
They can be used anywhere—inside messages, automated replies, and chatbot messages.
