Attachments

Chat24Plus allows users and agents to send file attachments directly inside conversations.
Supported file types and image previews help ensure quick visual access to uploaded content.

Supported Image Formats

The following image formats are displayed automatically in the chat window:

  • .jpg
  • .jpeg
  • .png

These formats show a live preview so users and agents can view the image without downloading it.

Managing Allowed File Extensions

All allowed file extensions are defined inside the Chat24Plus installation:

chat24plus/include/upload.php

To add new permitted file types, edit your config.php file and include:

define("SB_FILE_EXTENSIONS", ["exe", "abc", ...]);

Replace the array with the exact extensions you want to allow.

Notes

  • Disallowed file types will be blocked during upload.
  • Ensure that added extensions are safe and appropriate for your environment.
  • Image previews only appear for supported image formats; all other file types remain downloadable only.

If you want, I can now generate the **sidebar category code** for Conversations.
